What the course will do

By the end of the day you will be able to use EQ6/7 confidently and be ready to go on to explore its many possibilities with the aid of the User Manual. You will know how to access the Libraries, use the Sketchbook, use some of the tools on the Drawing Board, design and colour a quilt, print out fabric yardages, templates and rotary cutting instructions. You will also take home a fully illustrated booklet of detailed step by step instructions covering all the material presented in class.

Further Fun with EQ6/7

What the course will do

By the end of the day you will be able to draw your own blocks in EQ. You will have learnt about 'nodes', 'snapping', graph paper and grids. You will be able to draw straight lines(!), curves and arcs. The 'clone' button will demystified, rotate and flip explained. You will have a chance to sample the delights of 'wreathmaker' and 'serendipity'. You should leave confident enough to explore the further possibilities of EQ drawing with the aid of the User Manual. You will also take home a fully illustrated booklet of step by step instructions covering all the material presented in class.

Creating Quilts with EQ6/7

What the course will do

By the end of the day you will be able to use your own blocks to create a stunning variety of quilts. We will revise designing and colouring your own blocks and retrieving blocks from the Libraries. From there we will explore the Quilt menu to make horizontal quilts, on-point quilts, Tumbling Blocks and other diamond and triangle designs. We will explore the quilt design libraries and discover using quilt blocks as setting templates. The many possibilites for border design will be examined and you will have the opportunity to design a medallion quilt too. In adddition the Serendipity, Recolour and Swap tools will be explained. As usual you will have a fully illustrated step-by-step booklet to take home with you.

All these classes will cover aspects of EQ7 as well so if you've upgraded, or bought from new, EQ6 classes will be of assistance.
